*Golf Rules*:

-Roll the ball one foot

-Putter length gimmies (lay your blade on the edge of the hole). You must prove it unless the other team concedes. Players can ask for the longest putter in their group to measure.

-Everyone plays Gold Tees

-All OB is played as a lateral hazard (red stake). Drop your ball where you think it went OB and take a 1 stroke penalty.

-Balls must be played out of sand traps unless labeled as ground under repair. The bunker can be raked and your ball placed no closer to the hole at any time.

-Once a maximum score of net double  has been reached, the player must stop play and move to the next hole. Ex.- triple bogey if you stroke, double bogey if you don’t. Continuing to play your ball after net double is reached is frowned upon due to pace of play issues.

-Per USGA rules, you only have 3 minutes to look for a ball. Slow play has been an issue in the past, so try and play quick. Rounds should not take 3 hours.

Weather: Play will be cancelled or delayed due to severe lightning or heavy rain/ course closure. Come prepared to play in light to medium rain.

-Don’t be a dick. Players can be voted out of the league if they don't follow proper Donkey decorum such as multiple no-shows, lack of gentlemanly behavior, extreme slow play, breaking other Donkey rules etc.

Hole specific rules-

A lot of people have worries about both player safety and pace of play(waiting forever for the coast to clear) when it comes to cutting the corner on holes 13 and 14. Also, a lot of questionable/favorable drops have happened over the years, so there will be new rules on each hole to deter corner cutting and make drop rules cut and dry:

Hole 13- If you see your ball splash in the 2nd pond, go OB straight long, or OB right towards 12, you can take a Donkey appropriate drop based on the spot it went in and hit 3 from there.  However, if your ball goes OB any other place trying to cut the corner, basically anything to the left of the second pond you must drop on the old white tee box/mound behind the first pond and will be hitting 3 from there. If you are unsure if your ball is OB, hit a provisional from the drop site on your way to look for your tee shot to keep up pace of play.

Hole 14- If you go OB straight long, left, or if you played a slice through the chute but it went long, play typical Donkey rules and hit 3 wherever your ball went OB. If you try and cut the corner and go OB in any set of woods, whether it's right in front of the tee box, the woods right of 15 or long behind 14,  you must go to the white tee box and drop to hit 3.
